The Project Lead we are looking for has a passion for pipeline construction, cable laying and civil engineering. De Romein is a European specialist in earthmoving for pipeline and cable construction. Governments and companies all over Europe know where to find us for the design and implementation of projects.

As a Project Lead at De Romein you are responsible for multiple projects for the construction and/or replacement of cables and pipes throughout Europe. You are responsible for managing the entire project team, both at the project site and from the head office in Veendam. It is important that you have all components under control during the project. This may include contractual, financial, operational and planning matters.

You do not shrink away from a large degree of responsibility and, as our Project Lead, you are the point of contact for the projects, both internally and externally. You are cost- and quality-conscious in your work: you strive to minimise costs without compromising the desired quality. In managing the project team, you ensure that everyone performs as optimally as possible and teamwork is an important value to you. Tasks & responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving project objectives and assessing these for achievability (both financial and technical);
• Responsible for monitoring the progress of the projects (in all areas);
• Maintaining contact with clients;
• Supervising and coaching of employees and project team;
• First point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders;
• Participating in and chairing construction meetings and other meetings.

Minimum requirements:

• Completed HBO education in Civil Engineering or similar;
• Approximately 2-5 years' work experience in a similar position;
• Knowledge and applicability in the field of earthmoving infrastructures;
• Leadership and decisive capacities;
• Oral and written knowledge and skills of the Dutch, German and English languages;
• Independent, accurate and result-oriented.
